I've heard of Laura Pergolizzi peripherally for a few years now without ever taking the time to listen her. My mistake. Which I am eagerly rectifying at this very moment. To my chagrin it took a citibank comercial to send me scrambling to rediscover her. Well worth it, her song "Into the Wild" is easily one of the best songs I've listened to in quite a while. On her song "Someday" her vocals soar straight to the center of me. She even whistles fantastically. I did listen to "Good With You/Cling To Me" a few years back and enjoyed it unfortunately I allowed her to escape my radar. She also has some wonderful covers of Roy Orbison's "It's Over" and Beyonce's "Halo". Check her out for yourselves and let me know what you think.

I love her voice, but it's incredibly frustrating to track down any of her music. I guess youtube will do for now, but she should be capitalizing on the current interest in her while people are listening... it's not going to last forever in this day and age.

She does have "Into the Wild" on Itunes, good to know that she will be releasing an EP. In the meantime I succumb to youtube.

Love her! Really like this new EP as well. I think it's awesome that she's finally getting some press and recognition.

I own a couple of her cds, from like 2003-04ish. Suburban Sprawl & Alcohol is pretty rad. I recommend it, if you can find it anywhere. I got my copy at an indie cd store, after reading about her in some magazine (it was a long time ago). I believe her songs "Wasted", "Change of Scenery", and "Never Was" are on youtube...but aren't really videos. At least you can hear some of what's on that earlier cd. It's good stuff (especially after a fresh break-up). :(

Her new album is finally out (previewing on Spotify -- out in physical form next week). It's a bit slicker than I'd like, but I looooove that voice and the songs are pretty great.

A sizeable US headline tour, finally! Looking forward to scratching LP off my list in a couple months!
