Hi Everyone,

I just realized I have been a member since 2013 and stop by occasionally, but have never posted anything! I'm about 3 years late on my introduction, but here goes!

I'm Stacey and am 48 years old. I'm married to a great guy (Ken, for 20 years) and we have an 8 year old son, Matthew. I'm an accountant and love all genres of music. In my 20s and 30s, I was a dj and music director for adult alternative stations in NY, VT, MA and CT. I only mention this because I think I have good ears. Well the first time I heard "The Story" on Grey's Anatomy in 2007 I was hooked...I bought as much of their catalog as I could get my hands on. Everything about the band is exceptional - the harmonies, the melodies, the songwriting...it simply speaks to me.

Anyway, thanks for being here for us to poke around and learn more about our favorite band!

Hey, Stacey! It's me, Mark, from OBHILT. Well, even though you've been here for three years - WELCOME! And see you in Port Chester in September! :D

Hi all,

I'm new here, and actually new to the band's music, but I have fallen fast and hard :D

I'm from Cape Breton Island (Nova Scotia). I'm flying to Montreal to see them for the first time July 8 and I am beyond excited! I am disappointed that there are no VIP tickets though :(

Welcome, Heather! One of my favorite songwriters is from your neck of the woods, Rose Cousins.

Have fun at the Montreal show! Since there is no VIP there, you can usually catch BC and the band by their tour buses after the show for a quick autograph/picture. Be sure to let us know how the show went in the reviews section!

Rose Cousins is great! The East Coast has a ton of talented musicians...we're lucky that way :)

I will definitely give a recap of the show. I get to see Basia Bulat and Martha Wainwright in the nights before. :D

Hi. I'm Chris Ross from OBHILT. Was with Marc C, Robert S II, and Tracy A in Holyoke this past weekend for the concert that wasn't! :( But, we all decided to still go to meet up, listen to Brandi together, and have fun. We did! We were discussing this site (AT) and its hard to believe I never joined. Anyway, I have been reading some of the posts here and you all are great! Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Welcome to the forum, Chris! It was great meeting you and Sandi! We all had such a fun time in, of all places, Holyoke. Lol. :)

Hi All,

Is this thing on? :) I noticed it has been 6 months since a new member posted.

My name is Denise and I've been a BCB fan since 2007. I'm an Appalachian girl but call Colorado my home now. Former teacher & now Music Therapist. I'm also trying to hold down this gig called parenthood which is often amazing & a nightmare in equal measure. To say that I identify with "The Mother" is an understatement. ;) I have a 2yr old going on 13 most days. She's a few days younger than Brandi's daughter, actually.

It's been such a treat to read your stories of connection with each other and appreciation of BCB. I only wish I had joined 10 years ago!

Hope this finds you all well & in good spirits.

Hi Denise!
This place can be a little quiet sometimes, but it still has a plethora of archived info. Welcome to AT!

Welcome Denise and thanks for the intro! Yeah, I get “The Mother”, too [lol]…just I’m at the bitter-sweet part where the nest is beginning to empty. I don't know how long you have been lurking, before joining [I think most people average 6 months] - but don't miss out in the "Free Word Association", "Questions for the person below me", and "The person after me" threads...we could use more participants. :)

EDIT NOTE: I just notice the "six months" in your intro [after I posted]

Thanks dtsHurricane, markC, COKeekers, & procrastinator! Happy to be here.

I'm loving the archives (!) and slowly figuring out my way around the forum.

Anyone going to the Nashville (4/24) show?
